Our first competition 2022

Our first competition
The team's first competition: the 2022 Air Cargo Challenge, in Munich. The photo was taken once the flying was over.
CORV-0 took a fair number of knocks over those days and still came home in one piece. It was proof that we had overbuilt it. And on an aircraft, strength you don't need is paid for in weight.

My first year as team leader 2023

My first year as team leader
My first year as team leader of UVigo Aerotech. This is the group photo from that season, when we were working on two aircraft at once, LIGN-0 and MOBULA-0. Their story is in the XtraChallenge photo.
We had one priority, above the results: that the whole team, not just a few of us, would get to travel to a competition and learn from it.

Two teams at XtraChallenge 2023

Two teams at XtraChallenge
Valencia, day one of the first XtraChallenge. We took this photo right after passing technical inspection, and we were the first team to do so.
That year we travelled as two teams, UVigo Aerotech Vol. 1 and UVigo Aerotech Vol. 2, each with its own aircraft. LIGN-0 had a conventional configuration: with it we wanted to keep learning from the classic model aircraft. MOBULA-0 was the experimental bet: a flying wing with a foam structure, very light, and flaperons. It didn't turn out the way we hoped, but we learned a huge amount along the way.
It meant a lot to me. The best part was seeing a whole season's work here, in a single photo.

Drivers' parade in Barcelona 2023

Drivers' parade in Barcelona
This photo is different from the rest: I'm not in it, I took it. The 2023 Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, during the drivers' parade. On that truck rode the best drivers in the world. All of them brilliant, of course, but let's be honest: Verstappen and Alonso are on another level.
It is here for what it stands for. I love Formula 1: the competition, the sacrifice and everything it takes to get there. Above all, I admire the engineering behind it, put to work in the name of fair competition.

My last AEAE congress 2024

My last AEAE congress
My last AEAE congress, in Madrid. I was part of the association from my first year of the degree, and I take with me a great many memories shared with people from all over Spain.

MIR-10, our 2024 drone 2024

MIR-10, our 2024 drone
Our entry for the 2024 Air Cargo Challenge, in Aachen. MIR-10 had an unusual configuration and was built entirely from carbon fibre.
The results didn't live up to what the aircraft could really do, but we came home feeling that the team was growing stronger every year.
It was also, a little sadly, my last year as team leader of Aerotech.

Presenting XISTRA at Pont-Up Store 2025

Presenting XISTRA at Pont-Up Store
Pont-Up Store 2025, in Pontevedra. I went with XISTRA, my entrepreneurship project. I had spent a few months training at INCUVI, the Universidade de Vigo's startup incubator, and afterwards a few of us were invited to present our projects there.
It was a lovely experience: getting to tell people what we were building.
